Sample AgeR has different imperfection engines based on classic hardware samplers. Plus a unique distortion engine based on loss from a record needle that feels like it’s carving into your sound, and a classic stretching algorithm for that lo-fi sound.
Producers used to speed up their vinyl records and then slow the sample down to squeeze a little more time out of a vintage sampler.
We took the math of classic 90's samplers and stuck it into an easy to use quick sampler.
We also included a classic stretching algorithm that captures the feeling of 90's sample stretching.
Typical bitcrushing adds high, scratchy noise to the sound. Resampling on the other hand processes the sample to create an almost natural low-pass filter sound.
Push it too far and you'll feel the engine struggle to maintain the sound.
